The glow of millions of lights will once again reflect on Lake Austin as Mozart’s Coffee Roasters kicks off its annual Festival of Lights on November 22.
This year's festival, themed "Heaven and Nature Sing," promises new and spectacular additions, including an aerial LED waterfront flyboard battle from "The Nutcracker" and a limited-run Broadway-style Christmas concert.
Following extensive remodeling, the beloved lakeside tradition will run until January 3, 2026, breaking only for Thanksgiving and Christmas day. The popular Christmas Village returns, offering its famous hot chocolate and decadent sweet treats amid the twinkling lights of the ever-expanding Lake Austin Nautical Light Show featuring floating Light experiences, and an immersive tunnel all to be enjoyed by land or water.

The main attraction this year features the return of nightly, reservation-based shows hosted by Washington National Opera-trained vocalist McKenna Michels and her Holiday Band.
Dressed in elaborate gowns inspired by the story, Michels will guide guests through the tale of "The Nutcracker," leading the audience in traditional Christmas carols accompanied by two giant multimedia LED displays towering into the sky featuring animated choreographed light works synchronized to her show.
The story then comes to life over the water in a breathtaking display. A team of internationally awarded flyboarders, including "America's Got Talent" alum Damone Rippy along with pro-rider Ronnie Feise, will enact the high-flying battle between the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King over the waters of Lake Austin in custom LED flying suits. The aquatic stunt show features choreography by Sally Jacques of the renowned Blue Lapis Light aerial dance company.
And… if that wasn’t enough, for nine nights only, from December 12–20, the festival will host a special Christmas concert: ‘He Rules the World.’
This multimillion-dollar production is a family-friendly Christmas rock concert that tells the story of the Nativity with live professional performers produced by Peter Emerson. The show features narration by actor Kevin Sorbo (TV's Hercules), amazing choreographed Light works and animations on the giant LED screens, and a mesmerizing live performance by David Gaschen, known for his role for 13 years as The Phantom in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera.
Families can also look forward to new additions on land, including a Santa Tower for photos and the return of the popular “Taylor Swift used” dance floor for younger guests.
Land, water and sky - Heaven and Nature do sing! And yes, these are the very elements that make every visit to Mozart’s so special. This Christmas, Mozart’s has been working even harder to bring more Joy to the World!
