Labor Day Weekend and Bio of me

Hey everyone, Zach here, This week I am going to give to shake things up a bit and give everyone a chance to get to know me better. Next week I am going to debut some of the dog pictures I have taken and get back to normal news from Mozart’s.

Before we get into knowing me I want to tell you about a delicious new shake we have debuted called the caramel apple shake. It’s delicious especially topped with whipped cream topped with caramel drizzle. If you are up for it, add a shot of espresso to make it extra delicious.

Labor Day is upon us everyone, why not enjoy it down on Lake Austin with a delicious Mocha Special? Also a friendly reminder to everyone on this three day weekend to drive safe and enjoy your weekend.

This is me.

My name is Zach Davis, I’m 25 and am a supervisor at Mozart’s. I help run the Facebook and website as well as this blog. I just moved down to Austin in March all the way from Seattle. I have been wanting to get down here for a while and I glad I moved.  I am a very easy going guy who is always in good mood. I love to read anything from non fiction to fantasy to comics. I also love music and going out to shows. I’m a big fan of going out to trivia nights as well as hang out at home with my brother, Morgan and our puppy. Now that I have a steady job I plan on exploring and get to know the city. I love history so I plan on checking out local museums. If you ever see me, feel free to say hey or make conversation. I’m always up for it!

alright I’ll see everyone next week with some pictures of cute dogs as well as more employee bios! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Back To School

Hey everyone, Zach here with more news and information from Mozart’s. Sorry about late post everyone, my computer wasn’t feeling this well this weekend. Alright let’s get into some fun news from Mozart’s.

Well everyone, it’s that time of year again. Summer is ending and it’s time to get back to school. Just in time for UT starting up we have debuted a new shake called the Longhorn Shake, it has caramel and butterscotch chips with your choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream. It’s delicious and a good way to show your school pride. If you are in the mood for something with a little more pep in it you can add a shot of espresso to it. It’s perfect for those late night study sessions.

Looking for a place to have a study session this year? You can come down and study with your friends by lake. Maybe you are looking  for somewhere to meet with your various clubs? You can rent out our annex on this very site. There is even a virtual tour if you want to check it out. It’s a lovely room with a beautiful view of Lake Austin and perfect for those warm nights until the winter hits.

Now to continue our new tradition of employee bios here is Reagan Thomas!!

Reagan moved down here the same time as his brother Cameron and is one of our awesome supervisors. He is very nice guy and is always up for great conversation. He is an avid fan of history, finding new music and reading. Reagan and Cameron, are learning how to roast coffee and are always learning new things about coffee. He also enjoys watching football and hockey. He is always a pleasure to be around and if you ever see him give him a smile and a wave.

Alright folks, that’s all the news for this post, I’ll have another post up Thursday. Have a great week everyone!

20th Anniversary Espresso Shots

Hey everyone, Zach here. Hope everyone is having a nice August, did anyone get a chance to check out the meteor shower the other night? It was beautiful, I got to see nine myself.

To start off this week we are debuting a new shake straight from Mozart’s drink master Cameron. It’s our fruits of the forest gelato shake, completely vegan and gluten free. So if you are looking for something healthy and dairy free this is for you.  Not in the mood for a fruity drink? Try our dirty chai shake,  it’s a chai shake with an added shot of espresso in it. It’s delicious, I had one the other day.

In other news starting on August 20th we will be giving away free espresso shots! It will only be on the 20th of each month until end of year so come on down and celebrate our anniversary with us!

We’ve now read about Maria and Eric, now it’s time to learn about the wonderful Cameron.

This is Cameron Thomas. He is our fearless leader and latte art master. He has lived in Austin for about 3 years from Garland.  He moved down here with his younger brother, Reagan. He is a national and state high school champion football player and also used to play ice hockey. He has been learning how to roast coffee and enjoys trying out new brew methods and is a big fan of history including Byzantine, Sun Tzu, Ancient Warfare and Roman Catholicism . He is a great person to be around and is always up for a conversation. If you see him when you are at Mozart’s say hi and ask him to do one of his famous lattes with art.

Now some more fun facts about coffee

  • In 1675, coffee houses were banned in England because the king thought thats where they conspired against him.
  • Coffee trees can be up to 30 feet tall.
  • Coffee is 2nd most traded commodity in world.
  • American G.I’s came up with Americano cause they diluted the too strong espresso with hot water.
  • Light roasted coffee is actually more caffeinated than dark roast.
  • Over 500 billion cups of coffee are consumed a day.

Thanks for reading everyone and I will see you next week with a bio with Reagan, Cameron’s younger brother and fellow Mozart’s employee.
